Walls, Fletchers, and Games
The Wall Building will Continue until Morale Improves Yes, I have brutalised myself, but all in the name of progress. The wall has come together quite quickly. Is it perfect? Far from it, but it hasn’t fallen down yet and doesn’t look horrendous. It is a long overdue project as I hated the old pseudo-brick…

Split Slate and Fiction
A little bit of gaming, and a little bit of DIY. The dry stone walling workshop at Quince Honey Farm was fun, and though the stones were heavy, the detail was light. The most important messages I took away were to just give it a try. And backfill. Lots of backfill. In this context it’s…

Do Android Sheep Dream of Electric Cars?
This one is a little delayed, but it hasn’t exactly been a normal week. What possessed me to try and do a long journey in an electric car, you might ask? Perhaps I just needed a distraction. You can’t ask a gadget fan if they’d rather have a Polestar 2 or a Vauxhall Astra. It’s…

Arid January
Adding a desert vibe makes it seem a little more exotic. In an effort to give our livers a break, we’ve joined the Dry January bandwagon. Well, we haven’t entirely joined. It’s a mostly dry month, but we’re attending a Burns Night celebration on the 26th of January so there will necessarily be a little…
