Don’t be alarmed! I haven’t had a breakdown and gone postal. The title refers to my new job in haematology starting this Wednesday. That’s not the only change. I’ve got a new laptop, moved out of our apartment of two years, and my fiancé has set off on the ferry back to her homeland. I can’t help but reflect on how much is changing as I stare out across the Lagan, watching the shimmering lights on the river surface. This past year has been a tiring one, but also very rewarding at times. I’ve worked with a great deal of excellent colleagues, and learned more than I could have imagined, and most importantly, I survived. This is just a brief update to say the blog is back – it’s a tad easier with a working computer. Pen and paper doesn’t quite cut it for online connectivity.
