So Very Close (Ordinary Decent Office)

The title says it all, really.

Yes, the office project is finally drawing to a close. I have learned a lot along the way. There are things I’ve done well. And things that have gone not so well, but those too are opportunities for growth. Most of all I am proud that I followed through and did it (almost) all myself. I have had some help with wallpaper stripping and library organisation, but no tradespeople have been involved (for better or for worse). Unless you count pathology as a trade.

The before – the dreaded cheap bookcases that I despised

I wish I took more photos of the original setup, but the size of the room made it awkward without the use of a wide angle lens, so the cluttered veneered bookcases will have to do. It wasn’t an awful office before, but I so despised that book complex that I struggled to share that space with it. A plan took shape. Mostly a plan of not having the monstrosity in the corner, and the rest of it fell into place.

I have run out of time for my Thursday deadline, but I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.
